Giovanni Gariboldi
Designer, sculptor and modeler Giovanni Gariboldi was born in 1908-1977. In 1926 he was hired, personally by Giò Ponti, at Richard-Ginori as an apprentice model maker. In the 1930s, "Richard-Ginori" presented some of the artist's creations, adorned with Impressionist-inspired naturalistic motifs, made at the Milan "Ginori San Cristoforo" factory, at the 5th Milan Triennale and enthusiastically reviewed by Ponti in his architecture magazine "Domus."
