Sergio Rodrigues
(1927 – 2014)
Considered the father of Brazilian design, Sergio Rodrigues contributed to the definition of an internationally recognizable Brazilian identity. The roots of his work lie in the love of local woods and their ability to “transfer the spirit of the forest to the product”. After founding the Oca company, his mission became even clearer: to create furniture characterized by sensual and sophisticated lines capable of embodying the spirit of a society opening up to industrial progress.
