MVM Cappellin

It was founded in 1925 by Giacomo Cappellin after separating from Paolo Venini with whom he had founded Cappellin Venini & C. four years earlier in 1921. MVM Cappellin & C. was based in the Palazzo Da Mula in Murano.
Art direction was initially entrusted by Giacomo Cappellin to Vittorio Zecchin, who had followed him from Cappellin Venini & C. In 1926, the artistic direction was taken over by the young architect Carlo Scarpa, who personalized production with major innovations in design and production methods.
