Philip LaVerne (1907 - 1987) & Kelvin LaVerne (1937) 

With their work, American artists and designers Philip & Kelvin Laverne - father and son respectively - have overcome any possible distinction between art and design. Their furnishings, produced as unique pieces or in extremely limited editions, are both functional objects and extraordinary works of art. Inspired by past civilizations or mythology, their decorations are masterfully engraved in bronze, thus combining innovative metalworking techniques with more traditional narratives.
