SALON New York - 2016
Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Avenue
New York, NY, USA
The exhibition establishes a dialogue between mid-Twentieth Century Design shapes - those of the Italian elegant lines and the bold, sculptural forms of the Brazilian pieces - which are combined together with eclectic, contemporary works of great character.
To name but a few, masterpieces by Gio Ponti are mixed with the pure style of Angelo Lelii; on the southern side, the dramatic Reversìvel lounge chair by Martin Eisler, together with the Pétalas low table by Jorge Zalszupin, and the primitive seats by Hugo França, enlighten the show with a vivid and tropical mood. Kiki van Eijk, Claude Missir and Roberto Giulio Rida's works crown the space with dramatic senses of wonder for the observer.
