Armchair Balloon
Florence-based Lucia Ippolito has a degree in industrial design and a Master’s in yacht engineering from Pisa University. After working in Milan, including a stint at Versace Home, she set up Madame Dessin studio in the Tuscan capital, collaborating as a product designer and creative director for various companies. Her stylistic approach emphasizes elegance, symmetry and order.
The sculptural Balloon armchair casts a striking yet playful silhouette. Its classic, rounded contours are punctuated with the addition of small, solid wood spheres to support the curved backrest as well as a wooden base for the feet.
