Design Miami/Basel - 2016

Basel, Switzerland

Nilufar Gallery presents for the first time at Design Miami Basel an important selection of rare Brazilian furniture from the period 1940-1970 by Joaquim Tenreiro, Zanine Caldas, Jorge Zalszupin and Martin Eisler. In the set created by Nina Yashar historical pieces by the masters of the 20th Century meet the refined design of contemporary projects by Lindsey Adelman, Michael Anastassiades, Maarten de Ceulaer, Francesco Faccin, Langlands & Bells, Federico Peri and Osanna Visconti di Modrone creating a dynamic and vibrant synergy.

The 2016 Design at Large program will focus on the theme of Landscape, exploring the connections between the built and natural worlds from a literal, poetic, scientific or technological perspective. Nilufar Gallery takes part to Design at Large with Kiki van Eijk’s Civilized Primitives, supported by Exposize Print Projects.
The collections, Physical Interaction and Civilized Primitives, were part of a larger show in Milan that was inspired by exploring nature’s balance, motion, warmth, light, electricity and construction.
