SALON New York - 2017
Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Avenue
New York, NY, USA
An eclectic exhibition, where pieces of great value from the masters of design, especially Italian and Brazilian, meet contemporary projects edited by the gallery. Among the historic furnishings, a precious selection of accessories designed by Gio Ponti and three wall lamps designed by BBPR stand out; the Brazilian design, brought back into vogue by the gallery owner Nina Yashar some years ago, reconfirms its elegant presence with very rare pieces by Joaquim Tenreiro and Martin Eisler.
The set is enhanced by a collection of low tables designed by Massimiliano Locatelli exclusively for Nilufar, featuring original structures and tops in precious materials, three sculptural chandeliers from the Fontana Amorosa collection by Michael Anastassiades and an important cascade chandelier by Lindsey Adelman. The scenography is framed by two refined contemporary rugs, respectively by Ego Vicente and Hechizoo, the Colombian atelier of designer Jorge Lizarazo.
