Nilufar Gallery - DESIGN WEEK 2018

For the Milan Design Week 2018, on the ground floor of the Nilufar Gallery, Nina Yashar presents a post-modern Renaissance-inspired space, characterised by lively colour combinations and a fine selection of unpublished projects by contemporary designers promoted by the Gallery. The window display showcases two exclusive chandeliers designed by Sabine Marcelis, who is collaborating with Nilufar for the first time.

The space’s main walls are clad in precious Cymbeline fabric: a unique, hand-trimmed fabric manufactured by British House Tibor Ltd., and originally created for the redecoration of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The scenic setting is enriched with a room divider exquisitely covered in Peter Pilotto fabric and two Sputnik floor lamps designed by Bethan Laura Wood. Roberto Baciocchi presents a collection of Renaissance furniture pieces upholstered in precious Dedar velvet.

Tommaso Fantoni’s “Colourscapes” – an installation composed of acrylic on canvas paintings inspired by the world of nature and of architecture, reinterpreted through colour – is displayed in the exhibition space located in Via Senato.
